Pregnancy and breastfeeding ask more of your body, and food alone may not always supply the calcium you need. Platinum Naturals Prenatal EasyCal Calcium is a targeted daily softgel for pregnant and nursing mothers, formulated to support your bones and your baby’s growth.

Every two softgels provide 500 mg of calcium (carbonate and citrate), 150 mg of magnesium (citrate and carbonate), 5 mcg / 200 IU of vitamin D3, 20 mg / 20 IU of vitamin E, 40 mg of vitamin C, and 1000 mg of molecularly distilled fish oil (18% EPA / 12% DHA). Calcium, together with vitamin D3, helps maintain strong and healthy bones and teeth, and the fish oil is a source of omega-3 fatty acids for the maintenance of good health.

Health Canada recommends 1000 mg of calcium per day for pregnant women aged 19 to 50. Two softgels supply 500 mg, half of that amount, to help close the gap alongside a balanced diet.

Your prenatal multivitamin covers many nutrients, but calcium is best taken separately from iron because it can reduce iron absorption. This formula is designed to complement your prenatal, and its Omega Absorb delivery system protects nutrients in healthy oils to help your body absorb more.

Directions (adults): Take two softgels daily after a meal, preferably after supper, or as directed by your health care practitioner. For optimal absorption, take both at the same time. 120 softgels provide a 60-day supply.

Caution: Avoid using 2 hours prior to or until 4 hours after taking other medications or iron supplements. Contains fish (herring, sardines, anchovies), non-GMO soy lecithin and beeswax.
