Each softgel carries 1000 IU (25 mcg) of vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol, the same form your skin produces from sunlight, sourced from lanolin. Vitamin D3 helps in the development and maintenance of bones and teeth, and helps your body absorb and use calcium.
Because vitamin D is fat-soluble, CanPrev suspends it in a medium chain triglyceride base made from organic virgin coconut oil rather than a dry powder or tablet. The oil the vitamin needs for absorption is already in the softgel with it. Taken with a meal, one small softgel covers the day.
At 120 softgels and one per day, a bottle lasts 120 days - a full season of short daylight, without a mid-winter reorder.
What is in it, and what is not: Each softgel contains vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 1000 IU (25 mcg). Other ingredients: organic virgin coconut oil (yielding 65-75% medium chain triglycerides), bovine gelatin, glycerin, purified water. GMO free. No binders, no fillers. Directions: Adults - take one (1) softgel per day with food, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Good to know: organic coconut oil melts between 23 and 27 C. It is normal for the contents of the softgel to look solid white or like a golden liquid depending on storage temperature.
