Licorice root has been chewed for stomach discomfort for a very long time. The catch has always been glycyrrhizin, the compound that gives the root its sweetness and its complications. Deglycyrrhizinated licorice takes that compound out and keeps the rest.
AOR DGL is a chewable tablet built on that idea. Each one carries 506.66 mg of deglycyrrhizinated licorice root extract (Glycyrrhiza glabra), a 6:1 concentrate equivalent to 3,039.96 mg of dried root, with glycyrrhizin reduced to no more than 3% of the original amount. It relieves abdominal pain and burning.
The format matters more than it sounds. A chewable works where you are, without water, which is the difference between taking it before a restaurant meal and forgetting it at home. Chew one tablet three times a day, between meals or roughly twenty minutes before eating, and ninety tablets carries you a full 30 days.
Then there is the taste. Chewable licorice supplements are usually flavoured like the root itself, and plenty of people give up on them for exactly that reason. This one is made with natural lemon flavour and sweetened with monk fruit extract and xylitol, so finishing three tablets a day is not a daily negotiation.
The rest of the label is short and readable: acacia gum, citric acid, dextrose, hydroxypropylcellulose, maltodextrin, sodium stearyl fumarate, tapioca syrup and tricalcium phosphate. Vegan, non-GMO and gluten-free.
Suggested Use: Adults 18 years and over, chew 1 tablet 3 times per day, between meals or 20 minutes before meals, or as directed by a qualified health care practitioner.
